This was the very first horror movie I saw in its entirety in 88', from that moment on, I was hooked. Not to mention, grateful that the mom-and-pop video store nearby would let me rent horror movies!
One thing I forgot to mention - I love the closing credit synth score by Michael Hoenig and J. Peter Robinson that sounds reminiscent of what Jack Nietzsche did for Starman. Not sure why I love that old school synth pad sound so much but it brings tears to my eyes for sure. Perhaps it makes think of better days when I had all the time in the world to watch movies like The Gate.
